Kohl's Cares

Kohl's is dedicated to the community – part of taking care of our global community is taking care of our environment. Through Kohl's Cares initiatives, Kohl's has taken steps to decrease its footprint and environmental impact. With green policies in place, Kohl's has built many ENERGY STAR labeled stores, converted a large percentage of its inbound transportation to rail lines (cleaner than trucks on the road) and been recognized with a 2013 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award.

Kohl's stores around the country are built and renovated to minimize waste, use less energy and recycle as much material as possible. Many of the Kohl's stores are LEED certified. Kohl's strives to partner with other companies just as dedicated to recycling waste and streamlining energy use. By working with vendors and suppliers, Kohl's ensures minimal environmental impact from our joint business ventures.
